The Good News Email Of August 22, 2010

On Sunday evenings, many of the Evangelists and Women's Ministry Leaders in the SoldOut Movement graciously send me their "good news" for the week. On Monday mornings, I compile the most exciting of the reports and send them out to all of our leaders around the world. This keeps us connected and encouraged by the Spirit of God working in our family of churches. The following is this past week's "Good News Email!" KM

The Inland Empire Mission Team! The Inland Empire Mission Team!

Dear All,

Greetings from Los Angeles! This week the Lord added to our number four baptisms, one restoration, and one very special place membership - Tia Taylor, the daughter of Chris & Tiffany Taylor! Also, we sent 12 disciples from the "OC" Region and five disciples from the East Region to form a new House Church in the Inland Empire. This will be led by the newly married Coltin and Mandee Rohn. Prayerfully, by January, we will recognize it as our sixth region! Also, joining Shay Vloet, Chenelle Blair, and Ricky Challinor as our Campus/Singles interns, the Spirit chose three more to serve Him as part-time interns: Coltin Rohn, Coleen Untalan, and Brittany Bell, the current Miss Arizona - baptized in January in Phoenix! Even after sending-out the London Mission Team, God is multiplying our disciples, our Bible Talks (25 Campus Bible Talks), our regions, and our full-time staff! And to God be the glory!

The Spirit continues to use the Jubilee...

Matt Sullivan of Santiago, Chile: The church is being radically transformed! After "counting the cost" with every member, we have lost some time-but "vale la pena" (Spanish for "it's worth it"), because we are seeing a totally new church! Each leader is different, each member is different, and the spirit of the church is absolutely distinct! Today, we did a "mini Jubilee" here in Santiago. We started the service with Rob Onekea's EXODUS video that opened the Jubilee, and Carlitos (son of Carlos Gallardo our shepherd-in-training) made subtitles for the video. It was absolutely incredible! I was concerned that they wouldn't "get it," but just like at the Jubilee, our NEW church applauded, whistled and yelled and was super fired-up with the naming of each city where we have a church! It was like being in LA (only a tiny bit smaller!) They loved it and so many spoke about their dreams afterwards that had been lost and are now recovered! After all eleven disciples that went to the Jubilee shared, I then gave the same sermon Kip gave-called: La Tierra Prometida En El Segundo Intento-The Promised Land On The Second Try! The response was amazing! Several older disciples came up to me afterwards just crying with renewed dreams for God and the kingdom. In our leaders meeting right afterwards, the brothers and sisters shared their hearts like never before, and to a person, each now has their dream to either go and plant another city or make the Santiago Church the pillar church necessary to evangelize South America and Latin America! Truly, God's movement is moving!

EXODUS
Report: The 2010 World Missions Jubilee

Universal City Hilton ~ August 5-8, 2010

“But the Israelites went through the sea on dry ground, with a wall of water on their right and on their left… And when the Israelites saw the great power of the Lord displayed against the Egyptians, the people feared the Lord and put their trust in Him and in Moses His servant.” Exodus 14:29-31

Over 1,000 were in attendance at the Sunday Worship for the 2010 World Missions Jubilee!Over 1,000 were in attendance at the Sunday Worship for the 2010 World Missions Jubilee!

Truly the Lord’s glory descended upon us at the 2010 World Missions Jubilee – EXODUS! From all around the world, we had 894 paid registrants for the WMJ and 256 for the Global Leadership Conference! On Sunday, God blessed us with an attendance of 1,010, a contribution of $18,355, two restorations and seven baptisms! However, Sunday’s highlight was the Spirit sending-out the 11 disciples on the London Mission Team

In many ways, the Jubilee began the previous Sunday evening as the House Church Leaders and the London Mission Team gathered at Sal & Patricia Velasco’s home for the Send-Off Party. We had an incredible potluck dinner, as well as a tear-filled hour of sharing. To close out the evening, Michael & Michele Williamson – the leaders of the London Mission Team – cut the London Tower Bridge Specialty Cake, which was served “a la mode!”

On Monday, many of us made several trips to the airport to greet the incoming brothers and sisters. On Tuesday, the Central Leadership Council convened. The “CLC” is the leadership for the 32 churches in 16 nations of the almost four-year-old SoldOut Discipling Movement. Included in the Council are Nick & Denise Bordieri, Chris & Theresa Broom, DJ & Kacie Comisford, Michael & Sharon Kirchner, Andrew & Patrique Smellie, Matt & Helen Sullivan, Tony & Therese Untalan, and Elena & me.

The Good News Email Of July 11, 2010

On Sunday evenings, many of the Evangelists and Women’s Ministry Leaders in the SoldOut Movement graciously send me their 'good news' for the week. On Monday mornings, I gather the most exciting of the reports and send them out to all of our leaders around the world, accompanied by some heartfelt admonitions for the movement. This keeps us connected and encouraged by the Spirit of God working in our family of churches. The following is this past week’s 'Good News Email!' KM

After Marcus’ baptism, Brittany – who met Marcus – celebrates alongside Nate and Ryan! After Marcus’ baptism, Brittany – who met Marcus – celebrates alongside Nate and Ryan!

Dear All,
Just 24 more days till the 2010 World Missions Jubilee! Andrew Smellie, the Director of the Jubilee, shares that 685 have registered and that 143 have signed up for the Global Leadership Conference to be held on August 4, 2010 - the day before the Jubilee!

Chris & Theresa Broom of Chicago encourage us with this report: Today we celebrated the fourth anniversary of the Chicago International Christian Church! Chicago is the third largest city in the United States with a population of nine million souls and over 500,000 campus students. Sergio Muerson graduated from CR today and Blanca Gonzalez placed membership. Blanca is the mother of Juan Carlos and Luis Garcia, our Spanish Ministry's version of the 'sons of thunder!' Of special note was a performance at the end of service that we recorded as an audition tape for The Kingdom's Got Talent. Many of our disciples have joined forces to put together a 'collage' of their talents that is sure to fire you up and confirmed in my mind that we need to begin a new ministry this fall: the ministry that God used to baptize me in New York City in 1990 ... AMP! (Arts Media Professionals) Finally, as of today we have 84 people registered for the Jubilee and more that are still hopeful. Please keep praying for our goal of 100 registered adults. Can't wait to see you!

From Kiev with love, Oleg & Aliona Sirotkin report: Dear brothers and sisters, From the first day of the church on this June 13, we study the Bible about God's love, which strongly touched the hearts of disciples, as well as saves. God richly bless us. This week was baptism of Valentine! When he was four months old, his mother left him at the bus station and he grew up in an orphanage. At the first Sunday service that he attended, he said, 'All my life I was searching for this family!' Now, Valentine returned to the Father and became a family of God! We are already 78 disciples! Today our attendance was 103 with $1,000 in contribution! Thank God and all who support, transmits instructions, and financial support of Kiev Church.
